BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION  

E. DOUGLAS SHADD

E. Douglas Shadd is founder and president of the Bush Company and is responsible for business development activities. Mr. Shadd is an MBA with more than thirty years of entrepreneurial management and business development expertise. He has managed a diverse range of business activity in both domestic and international markets. His entrepreneurial experiences (twenty-four years) include an owner operator of several businesses, i.e., Brokerage firm, and Business Development Group and Consultant firm. He has cross sector industry experience, i.e., food service industry; agribusiness; entertainment industry; international business development & management; natural resource development; consultancy; construction management; government contracting; information technology. His international experience consisted of project development and management relative to natural resources and agribusiness projects. His nine years of corporate employment include Executive employment with two fortune five hundred companies in marketing, sales and management. ITT Morton Frozen Foods and Kellogg=s as well as employment with Boon Young and Associates Small Business Development Corporation.  

Mr. Shadd earned a Culinary Arts Diploma / Journeyman Chef Papers from Eli Whitney Tech & Conn. Chef Association; A.S. in Food Preparation from Manchester Community College, B.S. in Business Administration & Hotel Administration, and a MBA from the University of New Haven. 


Associate Consultants: 

CHARLES LOUIS

Mr. Charles Louis: As an Associate Mr. Louis provides comprehensive business development expertise for large scale and medium size projects. Mr. Louis has over 20 years experience in the field of urban housing and economic development. He served as Exec. Director of the Bay-View Hunters Point Model Cities Program in San Francisco, Senior Planner for the BART subway system in the Bay area, and Director of Community Services for The District of Columbia Housing Authority.  

Mr. Louis has expertise in contract negotiations, joint venture arrangements, construction management, and project planning. 

Mr. Louis earned a B. S. In Business Administration from the University of New Haven, and a Masters Degree in Urban Studies from Yale University. 

 


RONALD O'NEAL

Mr. Ronald O'Neal: provides marketing expertise as will as economic planning. As a marketing consultant he has provided services to a large variety of retail consumer product companies, telemarketing, and industrial sales organizations.

As a business consultant he made a special effort to provide marketing and business development services to nonprofit organizations as well. Clients included First Harlem Management Corp., Grace Community Development Corp., Atlantic City Business Development Organization. Mr. O'Neal also served as Executive Director City of Mt..Vernon NY, City Demonstration Agency Management Program . 

Mr. O'Neal served as Vice Chair on the City of Camden NJ Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Instructor of Economics at Camden County College. 

Mr. O'Neal earned a B.A. in Political Science from Herbert H. Lehman College, The City University of New York and a MBA from Rutgers University School of Business. 

 


EUGENE C. JACKSON

Mr. Eugene C. Jackson: Is a Management and Technical Assistance consultant. As an Executive with Eastman Kodak company Mr. Jackson held the position of Director of Imaging Systems for Commercial & Government Systems Division, and before that position he had full responsibility for the Department of Defense Automated Document Management and Publishing System at Eastman. 

Mr. Jackson served as Chief Executive Officer for Business Systems Group Inc., a full service systems engineering concern with offices in New York, Virginia, and Tennessee. The Business Systems Group client list included Fortune-500 companies, government agencies and major educational institutions. In addition, Mr. Jackson has held significant management positions with Xerox Corporation and served in several systems management positions with Aetna Life & Casualty. Therefore, Mr. Jackson brings a big business perspective and systems integration to the table, while fostering a first hand knowledge of small business development. He offers analytical, managerial, and organizational expertise.  

Mr. Jackson received his Bachelors degree in Management Science from Central Connecticut State University and his MBA from the University of Rochester. He has also completed the Executive Development Program offered by the University of Rochester. 


JEFFERY W. LIEBRECHT
Associate Consultant & Food Technologist

Jeff Liebrecht brings more than 14 years of professional experience in new product and process development, product and process improvement, bench-top and pilot plant trials, production scale-up, project management, troubleshooting and strategic research/new technology assessment.  As a project manager with the Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories, Jeff played a significant role for the domestic and global development and manufacturing startups of pediatric nutritional, adult nutritional, functional food and sports nutritional products with world wide sales exceeding $2.5 billion.

He was a key player in directing the development and successful introduction of products that have matched cultural needs in diverse markets, and in addition, has managed multi functional teams domestically and abroad, with research expenditures of approximately $2.0 million.

Innovative and aggressive, Jeff brings strong organizational, goal-orientated and leadership skills to his professional objective: defining innovative, timely solutions and implementing creative approaches to product research and development, troubleshooting and product and process improvement in nutritional and specialty food driven companies. Toward that end, Jeff founded Innovative Food Solutions in Columbus, Ohio, where he provides a full range of consulting and outsourcing services in the area of nutritionals, nutraceutical, sports and health nutritionals and consumer food products to meet the customer needs of large, Fortune 500 companies, small private food companies, specialty food companies, contract packing firms, food equipment and food ingredient suppliers and food service companies.

Jeff's leadership extends to the larger community. He serves as a volunteer with the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Columbus Metropolitan Tennis Organization, and serves as treasurer on The Ohio State University College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Alumni Board.

Jeff graduated from North Carolina State University with a master of science degree in Food Science and Nutrition and from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in Food Science and Nutrition. MICHAEL ERNST
Associate Consultant Serving as Director of Engineering for The Bush Company 

Michael Ernst is the principal and founder of Michael Ernst P.E, P.A., the company that bears his name.  He founded the company after a varied experience in many industries with Fortune 500 companies.  Mr. Ernst's corporate career culminated as the Director of Engineering for a Fortune 50 food company.  During that assignment, Mr. Ernst managed the environmental compliance, and capital budgets of nine manufacturing facilities with gross sales in excess of $1B.  By squeezing ROI from every capital dollar, Mr. Ernst generated returns as great as 500%, increasing one facility, plant wide efficiency by 50%.

Mr. Ernst has focused his firm on providing plant-engineering services to facilities in the food, flavor, fragrance and related industries.  By getting to know the operations of each facility, Mr. Ernst can supply solutions that solve a greater range of problems than consultants hired for only one specific problem.   Practical plant experience insures that solutions are robust and continue to work for years even under unanticipated conditions.  Clients of the firm include John Labatt Ltd., Nestle Beverage Inc., Estee? Lauder, Whitlock Holdings Inc., Tuscan Dairy Farms Inc., Takasago International (USA) Inc.,  J. Manheimer Inc. and others.

Mr. Ernst international experience includes projects in the Emirate of Qatar, The Netherlands, and Puerto Rico.

Mr. Ernst received his Bachelor of Science Summa cum Laude and Master of Science both in Chemical Engineering in a four year honors program at the Polytechnic Institute of New York.  Mr. Ernst holds Professional Engineering Licensure in New York and New Jersey.  He is also a Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM).

 


OLUTOYE AKINJIOLA
Associate Consultant For Special Projects and Research 

Dr.Olutoye Akinjiola is a chemical engineer with over 20 year broad range of hands-on experience in academics and in process industries. Earlier in his career he performed research on heat transfer and fluid flow at the UK Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwell. He was a senior process engineer with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Later he became a professor of at the university of Ife where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering. Back to the industry, he re-designed PS Nitrogen (Clinton, Iowa) fertilizer's plant process safety after it was de-bottlenecked to increase ammonia production from 40 to 70 tons/day. Prior to joining the Bush Company as a consultant, Dr. Akinjiola was a senior principal engineer with Air Products and Chemicals in the Research and Engineering unit. Dr. Akinjiola has been applying his strong background in engineering principles to enhance productivity and profitability in chemical process, energy, food, and pulp and paper industries. Dr. Akinjiola has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering for the University of Ife, Nigeria, and earned both a MSc. and a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, NY.


WILLIAM H. JORDAN

William H. Jordan, Jr., is a computer and internet consulting professional. Mr. Jordan is a 1985 graduate of Howard University in Washington D.C. with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Jordan has over 14 years of industry experience in digital electronic design and software development. He completed Howard University's Small Business Development Program.

Mr. Jordan has an extensive background in embedded systems hardware and software design, development and testing for both commercial and military systems. Mr. Jordan has lead projects through the full development cycle from specifications development to product delivery and support. Systems experience includes IBM, SUN, SGI and HP in both Unix and PC operating environments.

Mr. Jordan is married to the former Eleanor Hudgins and is father of Dara, Jabari, Alia and Osei .


Development Team Bio's:

In addition the Bio's presented herein, the Bush Company has key linkages with other companies such as Bakers Bright (Gordon Voss - master food technologist), as well as access to retired Kellogg Executives. Additionally, we have worked with major manufactures in food processing and packaging, equipment vendors, and commodity providers.
